WELCOME
To Be.In.Movement
Toni is a Movement and Mindfulness coach who also facilitates ‘Internal Exploration & Self Awareness through Movement’ Workshops and Retreats.
She is a movement enthusiast, an explorer and researcher of body dynamics and movement expression in all its forms and her passion is teaching people how to fully explore their world through movement practices. For the past 20 years Toni has supported people all around the world, both in person and online, to achieve their movement goals through her tailor-made individual sessions, group classes & workshops.
“As I myself have used these movement practices as part of my own treatments for pain and strengthening from injury and spinal disc herniation. I have first-hand understanding of how movement is fundamental to injury resolution, strength and overall health and mental well being, avoiding surgery (when not imperative) and supporting recovery post necessary surgical interventions"
TONI'S JOURNEY TO
BE.IN.MOVEMENT
Movement & Mindfulness
Due to my personal experience with joint inflammation , auto –immune dis-ease and Hyper-thyroidism, I have a special understanding of how those battling with restricted movement capabilities due to auto-immune dis-ease & rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-arthritis, mal-adapted joint function and related issues.
I’m an enthusiast & explorer/researcher of body dynamics and movement expression in all its forms, a lover of social dancing and getting people to explore their world through movement practices.
I use my 20+ years experience in movement modalities from dance to martial arts to develop the ‘be-in-movement’ mindful sessions – we focus on breath, body awareness through somatic practice, release work needed to allow the body to let go of unnecessary tension preventing correct muscle engagement AND strengthening work with relevant load resistance and challenge.
Since we are designed to move, in as many ways as we can…we want to be effective, efficient and able to experience and explore ourselves and the world through this physical body.
Our sedentary lives have set up patterns in our bodies that limit us to a smaller and smaller range of movement capabilities. If we don’t keep practicing the full range of human movement (including jumping, climbing, pulling, pushing, crawling, squatting and ground work) we become more limited in what we CAN do.
MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE
PLAY in your body to explore movement rather than ‘exercise’!
Working closely with other health care practitioners her clients work with she facilitates movement sessions that address breathing, postural re-alignment, bio-mechanics, injury issues and pain management that need particular care and attention.
Toni aims to assist clients in having a more embodied experience of self through movement practices in order to face beliefs/fears/maladjusted patterning for a more fulfilling and expansive physical experience.
